Hip problems

Hi,

I had a sore hip muscle at the back of my hip. The Dr. said we will drain the fluid out then give you a Cortisone shot. I said no way my hip was so sore it was painful sitting and going up stairs.

I am writing to sing your praises! I am not kidding. I was first diagnosed with a Baker’s cyst approximately three months ago. The pain became increasingly intense, so I finally made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. He explained that the cyst was most likely the result from a torn meniscus and that I would require surgery. Ok, I have an arthritic knee from playing American football and having an operation when I was 18. Going to a doctor to have it drained would cost me well over $220. I have a baker’s cyst behind my knee that I’ve had aspirated three times at great expense. Hi Toky, just to say we’ve ordered 20 more patches as the first lot really improved the Bursitis in my Elbow. It reduced the pain mainly, but although it seems full of fluid in the mornings the swelling has not reduced greatly.

Mind you it’s quite an art fitting them firmly to an elbow and still being able to move!

Thank you for your informative reply, I shall take notice of the hints and tips in your e-mail and will apply them during the treatment of my wife’s Trochanteric Bursitis.

It may interest you to know of the progress with the OSMO patches. Days 1 to 4 a small reduction in the swelling in the thigh. Days 4 to 7 a further reduction in swelling but no reduction in pain. Days 8 to 9 swelling almost gone and a big reduction in pain. We now await delivery of our second box of patches and hope the improvement continues.
